6-Day Ignatian Retreat
A six-day Ignatian Retreat with Father Jeff Putthoff SJ.
Time & Location
Aug 14, 7:00 PM EDT – Aug 20, 1:00 PM EDT
Attleboro, 947 Park St, Attleboro, MA 02703, USA
About the Event
The guided retreat "Experiencing God: Our Interior Movements Explained Using Ignatius' Rules for Discernment" will use Ignatian Contemplation, imaginative prayer, and senses to engage in conversation with God.
The focus will be on understanding our interiority using the model of Internal Family System (IFS) as a means to intimate prayer with God/Jesus/Spirit. We all have parts of us that are sad, joyful, anxious, discouraged, happy, funny, and many more. Having such parts is a natural aspect of adult life, and sharing such interior movements in a familiar way with God/Jesus/Spirit is what Ignatian prayer helps us to do.
Our days will consist of two talks and mass. There is ample time to pray. This retreat is practical, encouraging curiosity, connection, and compassion with ourselves and with God.
