ABOUT THE FIRST SESSION - JESUS AND THE GOSPELS IN CONTEXT

In the first session, we will get ready for our virtual pilgrimage to the Holy Land by examining the sources at our disposal in order to understand Jesus’ ministry and mission. We will take into consideration the four Gospels: what they are, date of composition, structure and organization, main threads, and purpose. Then we will outline the primary characteristics of the two worlds that were colliding against one another in Jesus’ time: the Roman World and the Jewish World.
