In the heart of Rome, the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops convened on the occasion of the Synod entitled "For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, and Mission."
Yet, Pope Francis' pivotal decision has ignited a whirlwind of emotions and comments, stretching from admiration to skepticism and opposition. Some see it as a beacon, pointing to a brighter future for the Church and igniting renewal. Others worry it will muddy our beliefs, endanger our treasured traditions, and, ultimately, bring confusion, error, and division.
In this contest, the program "THE SYNOD ON SYNODALITY: RUIN OR BLESSING FOR THE CHURCH?" offers a series of provocative lectures designed to explore the theological, ecclesial, and pastoral scope of the recent and much-discussed Synod convened by Pope Francis in Rome (Oct. 4–29, 2023).
