ABOUT THE TENTH SESSION - THERE YOU WILL SEE HIM: THE LEGACY OF THE RESURRECTED JESUS THE CHRIST

Kiriath-Jearim (Emmaus) - Mt Arbel - Jerusalem: Hill of the Ascension.

In the the tenth and last session of our virtual pilgrimage to the Holy Land we will virtually visit some of the sites related to Jesus’ resurrection. We will start with Kiriath-Jearim, a hill on the outskirts of Abu Ghosh, a village near Jerusalem, and one of the candidates for the biblical Emmaus, where Jesus appeared to two of his disciples after his crucifixion and resurrection (Luke 24:13-35).

From Kiriath-Jearim we will go up again in Galilee to virtually climb the sheer rock cliffs of Mount Arbel, on the western side of the Sea of Galilee, and one of the possible locations to which Jesus brought his disciples when he entrusted them with the great commission/mission that closes the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 28:16-20).

Our Virtual Pilgrimage will end at the top of the Mount of Olives, at the Chapel of the Ascension, traditionally considered the location from which Jesus ascended into heaven.
