ABOUT THE PROGRAM
ADVENT RETREAT:
"THE NIGHT IS FAR GONE,
THE DAY IS AT HAND"
As the Church moves through the dark stillness of Advent toward the dawning light of Christ, this retreat offers space for reflection, prayer, and renewal. Participants are invited to name the “nights” in their own lives (moments of waiting, weariness, or uncertainty) and to rediscover the hope that comes with the promise of a new day.
Through Scripture, silence, and shared prayer, we will reflect on what it means to “put on the armor of light” and to live as people who already sense the nearness of God’s dawn.
Retreat sessions and prayer experiences will explore the themes of awakening, watchfulness, and hope. Small-group sharing will help participants name their personal “darkness” and recognize signs of God’s light already breaking in.
Creative practices such as journaling, walking meditation, or art reflection will encourage a personal response to God’s invitation. The retreat will conclude with Eucharist or a candlelit commitment to be people of light, ritual symbolizing readiness to carry Christ’s light into the world.
