For one weekend this fall, men from all walks of life will gather at La Salette Retreat Center for a powerful journey — inspired by the writings and life of Fr. Greg Boyle, S.J., founder of Homeboy Industries. You will be challenged, moved, and transformed as you step into a vision of manhood that heals wounds, builds bridges, and stands at the margins.

Our culture often confuses masculinity with dominance, emotional silence, or the need to win. But Jesus shows us another way — a way of radical kinship, deep compassion, and brotherhood rooted in love, not fear.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
Over three days, you will:

+ Encounter God’s tenderness in Scripture, Sacraments, and silent prayer.
RETREAT SESSIONS
Session 1: Radical Kinship (Luke 10:25–37)
“There is no us and them. There is only us.”
Learn to redefine manhood not through competition, but connection — belonging to others, not dominating them.
Session 2: The Tenderness of God (Hosea 11:1–4)
“Compassion is a covenant between equals.”
Experience the unconditional, non-transactional love of the Father.
Session 3: Failure and Forgiveness (John 21:15–19)
“We are all a cry for help.”
See your failures as sacred ground for growth.
Session 4: The Danger of Shame (Luke 5:11–32)
“Shame is the root of all addiction.”
Break free from the lies about who you are.
Session 5: Standing at the Margins (Matthew 25:31–46)
“Go to the margins… so the folks at the margins make you different.” Discover solidarity, not saviorism.
Session 6: Becoming Whole — Living the Whole Language (1 Corinthians 12:12–27)
“Love is the answer. Community is the context. Tenderness is the methodology.”
